Designing from a clean sheet, redefining possibilities.
Street Car, Track Car, Drag Racer
I was contracted to design an experimental concept for TranStar Racing, LLC based out of Florida. The Dagger GT was to be a roadster with a removable hard top. I took the project from sketch to model to preparation for packaging design.
While the term hypercar wasn’t in regular use at the time of this project, that’s exactly what the Dagger GT was. It was to have different engines, from 1000 hp up to a full 2500. It was to be the widest, lowest car (ever) with the widest available tires. At the same time it was to be luxurious enough for daily driving.
To start developing a concept and model, I was given a sketch of what looked like the Batmobile.
Over the next year and a half, I designed and refined, completing 5 versions. The final had a full carbon fiber tub and many important components in place so we could start packaging design. This hypercar design concept was the first contract I had in the automotive industry.
